Johnny was one of the great showmen I can think of…I remember watching his show regularly for years in my early twenties. His ability to share his sense of ‘now’ with others in the form of laughter was one-of-a-kind magic. Here he is with the famous Egg trick and spectacular unexpected ending.
These two guys always had a new perspective, a new way to view a particular situation with wit and humor and sometimes silliness…they knew how to ‘be a smile’ that everyone would remember.
A friend just sent this to me, and I love it each time I read it… and each time I read it, a different part stands out for me to question. (As I’m not a religious person, I substitute the word ‘energy’ for God, it just works better for me.) This time the phrase “Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.” is the part that stands out.
I ask, “Just WHO am I NOT to be playing it BIG?” what makes me think I can’t? Usually this time of the year I just participated in an EarthDay event in Santa Monica with my line of characters Bebuddies. This year the event is not until June? I found myself thinking that the Bebuddies will never have a chance to make the difference I know they have, can and will make in thousands of peoples lives. That I was doing everyone a dis-service by stopping the passion I feel for their progress…then I reread this quote by Nelson Mandela and realized I was thinking small. Thank goodness for wake up calls no matter how they come to you…it’s the awakening of spirit, your personal drive, energyOS that pushes you forward to success. Watch out Barney and Mickey… here comes the Bebuddies!
I hope with viewing this, be it your first or 15th time, you will find some part that will answer the questions you are asking internally of yourself, today.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our LIGHT not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’
You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. You were born to manifest the glory of God that is within you.
It’s not just in some of us, it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we’re liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”–Nelson Mandela

Today’s twitter question was about smiling. For me, a smile is the smallest form of energy creation. It has the power to immediately change your state. You hear people talking about being tired, stressed out, feeling stuck, these are all low energy feelings. I suggest you give smiling a try and then find something to laugh about, you’ll be up and running at full speed in no time at all with a renewed direction and focus.
If you’ve been following my posts you’ll know that I have this thing for “symbols” and the effect they have on us, the way we think and see the worlds around us.
I love stars. They are a perfect balance and design. For the past 16 or so years I’ve collected them around Christmas and put one (sometimes angels or interesting shape) on my front door. As you can see by the photo, I’ve almost covered half the door. This year I bought an angel, it is at the top.
As you can see they bring a feeling of whimsy and stop you in your tracks to look at them closer.
Remember, do something every day that makes you or someone else smile
I wear my green smile button all the time now… and love the response it gets. Not only is it GREEN but it’s a SMILE! Gary and his friends were playing chess, well, he was watching, they were playing… and he was game to answer my question… he had an interesting take…
One of my most favorite things to do is walk on the beach…next are animals… this video is of a bull dog named Winston, he has such a nice friendly smile he freely shared with me.
Smiling is especially energizing when singing…my friend Carolyn and I were out for brunch and decided to wish a friend Happy Birthday… so we sang the song in a restaurant! ’twas fun! And we smiled a lot.
Public art enlightens and often offers us a perspective we might not otherwise see. This video spotlights tiles that were decorated by kids…I was taken by their use of symbols and color.
I know, it seems I’m taking lots of flower photos… I’m getting used to my new Flip video and making an interesting video. Each time I make one I gain in knowledge and substance. I figure by the time I’ve created 20 videos I’ll have it down just right and look back and these and SMILE…
Be a smile and you might see, just how magical sharing can be
When we smile we create energy, Energy connects us closer, you and me
Share your smile, come joing the fun
When we’re all connected the world is one!
